This last week has been quite hectic but not without its good side. France did move get into the World Cup quarterfinals after all.
Well time to write has been short this last week. I’m about halfway through a new scene for chapter two. I’m writing this new scene in response to alpha feedback.
Well, had a three-day weekend but forgot my notes on the next scene I need to write at work. Concentrating on other hobbies for the holiday. Thought France did poorly on its first World Cup game but then I saw all the other countries play.
Rewriting and editing as previously laid out is done for the first chapter. Mixed a few scenes around, added a few. Still mostly the same but much improved. On to chapter 2.
Hey everyone,
Instead of a weekly post, I’ll be posting as things get done or things happen. Update posts will have a lable while other posts will have a title depending on their content.
Well, the rewriting process has started. This has led me to reflect on the age old question of methodology.
Not a lot to say this week other than I am about to start rewriting. I need to finish editing the short story I am currently working on and then it will be full steam ahead on the novel.
So I forgot my laptop’s power cord this morning. Looks like I won’t be able to get much done today once I get through the real life work I need to do.
So I’ve now received feedback from most of the alpha readers. I have a list of about forty things to change or keep in mind while rewriting and editing. During my preparation to start rewriting and editing, I found a blog with this list of common writing mistakes. I am reposting the list here as I will be keeping all these points in mind as I rewrite and edit.
Well tomorrow I will start annoying my alpha readers to start sending in their questionnaires if they haven’t already. Guess I’ll find out what the people think.
